Tendai Machingaidze

Tendai Machingaidze was born in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1982. She graduated from Syracuse University in New York in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Tendai also holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts in Christian Education degree from Southwestern Seminary in Texas. She has published two short stories to date.

The Red Vienna is Back appears in an anthology titled Writing Lives ( Weaver Press Zimbabwe, 2013), and Super Granny was selected as a finalist in the Africa Book Club Short Reads

Competition in September 2013. Acacia is Tendai’s first novel. In addition to writing, Tendai loves tea, travelling and all things dance. Tendai lives in Russia where she is studying medicine.
